Dr. Abdulazeez Adams Adeiza, the Kogi State Commissioner for Health, has announced the ministry’s commitment to a comprehensive renovation of the Kogi State Agency for the Control of AIDS (KOSACA), a key agency under the Ministry of Health. This announcement was made during a familiarization visit to the KOSACA office in Lokoja over the weekend.
Dr. Adeiza expressed concern over the deteriorating condition of the facilities at the KOSACA office, emphasizing the need for a renewed and suitable office environment to enable the agency to effectively fulfill its mandate of combating and controlling the spread of HIV/AIDS in the state.
He reaffirmed the unwavering commitment of Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo’s administration to eradicating the HIV/AIDS epidemic in Kogi State. Dr. Adeiza assured that all necessary resources, including knowledge, facilities, and support, would be provided to ensure the agency operates efficiently in its mission to curb the spread of HIV/AIDS.
During the visit, Dr. Monday Adejoh, the Executive Secretary of KOSACA, expressed gratitude to the Commissioner for his dedicated efforts in enhancing the operations of all agencies and institutions under the Ministry of Health. He praised Dr. Adeiza’s unwavering support and collaborative spirit, which have been instrumental in advancing the vision and goals of Governor Ododo’s administration, leading to significant improvements in the state’s health sector.
Dr. Adejoh highlighted the Commissioner’s goal-oriented approach, which has significantly enhanced the quality of healthcare services available to the people of Kogi State. He noted that, with the strong commitment of the state governor, the Kogi State health sector has witnessed remarkable development in recent times.
The KOSACA office, located within the Ministry of Health premises, is poised for a significant transformation.
