Inline with Section 20 of Kogi State Education Law 2020 the State Ministry of Education has sealed some Schools in Lokoja the State Capital for operating illegally.
The schools are: Goodland Academy zango road, Arise and Shine,zango, Nifemi Comprehensive Nursery and Primary School Baracks, Jessi Model Academy Baracks and Alhikma Nursery and Primary Schools Lokongoma.
The Proprietors of the schools have been directed to report to the Ministry and stop all activities in the schools until all conditions for the establishment of schools in the State are fulfilled.
Leading a team on a routine inspection to schools in Lokoja on Thursday, the Director Basic and Secondary Education, Mr. Mathew Salami Said any school operating in the State without approval from the State Ministry of Education would be shut down and the Proprietors would be sanctioned in accordance with the State Education Law, 2020
He noted that the State Government would not allow the huge investment made in Education to go down to drain because of the activities of illegal School operators in the State.
