The second day activities of the Kogi State Ministry of Health development of its Annual Operation Plan AOP commence with a recaps of the first day program followed by the goodwill messages from the development partners present.
The AOP is being populated following a national template for the expected national standards.

The Day Two Technical session focuses on populating activities and projects for the various ministry, departments, institutions, and agencies under the health sector of the state.

The state Commissioner of Health, given his charges at the session, underscored the importance of the Annual Operation Plan for the State. He stressed that the AOP is the critical document for the success of the 2026 health sector implementation of government and partners policies, programs of activities and it will serve as the foundation to champion the state health sector towards the delivery of it’s core mandate of quality healthcare services to the people of Kogi State.

the various goodwill messages from the development partners all applauded the Kogi State government performance in the health sector and especially the SWAP desk Office for always being above boards in the discharge of the expected programmes and activities of the state health sector.

The Director of the state health ministry incharge of Health planning research and Statistics Mr Johnson Aiyedogbon highlighted that the population of the AOP by the various development, agencies and programs would help to fashion the part way for the capacity to deliver on their set goals of government and partners expectations of the state health sector.

In attendance are Provost Kogi State School of Health Idah, Sanitarian , Urmar Anataku, Provost of Kogi State College of Nursing Science, Obangede, James Duro Joseph also included notable attendees such as the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Health, Mr. Aziz Steven Momoh; the Chief Medical Director of the Kogi State Specialist Hospital, Dr. Folagbade Oluseyi; the Executive Secretary of the State Health Insurance Agency, Dr. Aledare Adekunle; and the Executive Director of the Kogi State Primary Health Care Development Agency, Dr. Muazu Omeiza Musa. Additional participants include Dr. Ayo Olayemi, Medical Director of the State Hospital Management Board; Pharmacist Ibrahim Salamat, Executive Secretary of the State Drugs and Medical Supplies Management Agency, Dr. Barnabas Segun, Director of Medical Services at the Ministry of Health; Mr. Johnson Ayedogbon, Director of Research and Documentation; and Dr. Ojotule Augustine, State Epistemologist,also The Forum Chairman of Directors of Primary Health Care Services in 21 LocalGovernmentAreas, Mr Emmanuel Egbunu., including partners drawn from WHO, UNICEF, Malaria Consortium, federal ministry of Health, and NGOS in the state health sector
