The Commissioner for Information and Communications, Hon. Kingsley Fanwo, has pledged full collaboration and support to the Nigeria Association of Women Journalists (NAWOJ).
Hon. Fanwo committed this during a meeting with the chairperson and other Executive Council members of NAWOJ in his office in Lokoja.
The Commissioner praised the administration of Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo for its focus on issues affecting women and children. He assured NAWOJ that working in harmony with the administration would be seamless.
He urged the union to support all government programs and policies and assist in promoting the administration’s commendable projects and initiatives.
In her address, the Chairperson of NAWOJ, Comrade Stella Edoka, lauded Alhaji Usman Ododo for his dedication to infrastructural development in the state. She also commended Hon. Fanwo for his diligent work and the transformative progress in the Ministry of Information and Communications, referring to him as the pillar of the professional body.
Comrade Edoka outlined some of the union’s key objectives, including safeguarding children’s and women’s rights, aiding the government in promoting gender-related policies, and more.
The union pledged its unwavering loyalty and commitment to the government of Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo, expressing readiness to collaborate with the Ministry of Information to further advocate for the rights and values of society.
