
Digitizing the information system has been described as a perfect way to encourage transparency in the health sector.
The Executive Director, Kogi State Primary Health care Development Agency, Dr. Muazu Omeiza Musa stated this at the state training of trainers on Primary Health care financial Management system digitization in Lokoja.
Speaking at the training, the Executive Director noted that digitization in Nigeria’s health sector transforms healthcare delivery, making it more efficient, accessible, and patient-centered. Key initiatives include.
According to him, the Initiative aims to overhaul the national digital healthcare architecture, enhancing data management, patient experiences, and health outcomes.
The Executive Director, Dr. Muazu Omeiza Musa noted that when implemented, will establish a national unified Electronic Medical Record (EMR) platform, facilitate seamless data exchange and quality assurance.
According to the Executive Director, benefits of digitization in healthcare include, Improved patient care, Enhanced accessibility, accuracy, and timeliness of healthcare services.
He stressed that digitization has the potential to revolutionize Nigeria’s healthcare system, improving health outcomes, and promoting a more efficient and effective healthcare delivery system and thanked participants for making out time to attend.
Speaking at the event, the convener, Hajia Hadiza Ismail Ahmed said some national Officers and state officers cutting across the 21 Local Government Areas of state are being trained to help in good information desemination for optimum performance.
The guest lecturer, Alhaji Mubarak Sani noted that the training is centered around PHC Facility Management system which is an application designed to give additional funding to facilitators on a quarterly basis.
