The Office of the Head of Civil Service has released the official approved list of newly appointed Permanent Secretaries in Kogi State.
During a briefing at the Office of the Head of the Civil Service, Dr. Elijah Evinemi, FCA, congratulated the new Permanent Secretaries on their promotions and urged them to treat their appointments as an opportunity for greater responsibility to the state.
Dr. Evinemi emphasized that the appointment spans 11 Local Government Areas of the state where vacancies exist, following a thorough and rigorous process of examinations, interviews, and screenings. The Local Governments include: Ankpa II, Dekina II, Ibaji, Idah, Kogi/Koton-Karfe, Lokoja II, Yagba West, Mopa-Amuro, Ogori/Magongo, Okehi, and Okene.

The Head of Service praised His Excellency, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo FCA, for his strong commitment to merit, transparency, and fairness in Civil Service appointments. He emphasized how this action improved civil servants’ trust in the administration, describing the Governor as a leader who values competence and integrity above sentiment.
He urged the Permanent Secretaries to display competence, discipline, loyalty, and commitment to the ideals of the Civil Service, stressing their key role in shaping government policies for the development of Kogi State.

On behalf of their colleagues, Mr. Maji Enoch and Mr. Moses Dare expressed sincere gratitude to His Excellency, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo FCA, for the privilege to serve at the height of their careers. They also assured the Head of Service that they would uphold the confidence entrusted to them.
