The Kogi State Ministry of Information and Communications, under the leadership of Hon. Kingsley Femi Fanwo has reaffirmed its strong synergy with Radio Nigeria, Prime FM Lokoja, to ensure the timely and adequate dissemination of government policies, programmes, and activities to the people of the state.
This commitment was restated when the new State General Manager of Prime FM, Mr. Alfa Yakubu led his management team on a courtesy visit to the Ministry.
Hon. Fanwo, represented by the Permanent Secretary, Mr. Ebenezer Adurodija described Prime FM as a community-based station that plays a vital role in serving the people of Kogi. He assured that the Ministry will continue to support and sustain the partnership, noting that Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo’s transformative strides make the Ministry’s job easier.
Mr. Adurodija congratulated the new GM on his appointment, urging him to demonstrate sound leadership and work closely with his team to further strengthen the station’s role in educating and informing citizens. He also welcomed the offer to use Prime FM as a platform to project the activities of the government, describing Governor Ododo as “a good product whose works speak for him.”
On behalf of the Ministry, he extended condolences to the Governor over the passing of his father, Alhaji Ahmed Momoh Sani Ododo, praying Almighty Allah to grant him eternal rest in Aljanah Firdaus.
In his remarks, the General Manager of Prime FM, Mr. Alfa Yakubu commended the ministry for its consistent support and lauded Governor Ododo for the remarkable developments taking place across the state. He assured that Prime FM will remain a bridge between the government and the people while pledging continued service to both. He also prayed for the peaceful repose of the late Alhaji Ahmed Momoh Sani Ododo.
