In adherence to the State Government’s commitment to delivering high-quality infrastructure, the State Commissioner of Works, Hon. Engr. Mohammed Ahovi Yusuf, conducted inspections of various road projects in Lokoja and Adavi Local Government Areas on Thursday, October 31, 2024.

The purpose of the inspection was to assess the progress, quality, and alignment of these projects with the Government’s infrastructural policies.

During the inspection, key locations visited included the Zone 8 Roundabout, the 5.5-kilometer Crusher dual carriageway being executed by TEC Engineering Ltd, and the 12-kilometer Okaito-Obangede-Ogaminana road connecting Adavi Local Government to the Okehi Local Government Area.

The Commissioner commended TEC Engineering Ltd. for their unwavering dedication and adherence to high standards. He encouraged the team to maintain their momentum to ensure timely completion of these projects.

He emphasized the Government’s steadfast commitment to infrastructural development, stating, “The Government is resolute in its mission to enhance infrastructure and address the challenges faced by our citizens. Each road project represents a significant step towards improving accessibility and facilitating smoother transitions for our people.”

The 5.5-kilometer Crusher dual carriageway, a vital entry point to Lokoja town and a primary access route to key Government Institutions, is currently at a 65% completion rate. The road features a comprehensive drainage system designed to enhance its durability and resilience against erosion.

Similarly, the Okaito-Obangede-Ogaminana road project, spanning 12 kilometers and linking Adavi Local Government Area to the Okehi Local Government Area, has seen the completion of major earthworks. Essential drainage systems have also been installed to ensure the road’s longevity and functionality.

The Commissioner reiterated the Government’s commitment to fulfilling its mandate, stating, “The people have entrusted us with a vision, and we are fully committed to realizing it for their benefits”

The 5.5-kilometer Crusher dual carriageway that serves as a crucial entry point to the Lokoja town and also a primary access route to several key Government Institutions, being developed by TEC Engineering Ltd has reached a 65% completion rate, with a comprehensive drainage system designed to ensure the road’s durability and resilience against erosion while the Okaito-Obangede-Ogaminana road project, a 12-kilometer stretch linking the Adavi Local Government Area to the Okehi Local Government Area, the major earthworks have been completed, and the installation of essential drainage systems was Ongoing.
