The Executive Chairman, Kogi State Civil Service Commission, Hon.(Barr) Muhammed Tanko has commended the Governor, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo for his humane disposition towards civil servants in the State.
He noted that the cash backing of promotions for civil servants in the State was the right step in the right direction.
While addressing the staff of the Commission, Hon. Tanko described the mood of the Civil Servants as ‘exuberant’ and ‘ joyful’, saying the atmosphere was amazing, with workers beaming with joy and gratitude to the Governor for prioritizing their welfare.
“Today, we celebrate a major milestone in an effort to improve the welfare of the civil servants. The Governor’s decision to put smile on the faces of the civil servants is a testament to his unique style of leadership and commitment to the welbeig of the workers, ” he said.
The Chairman urged the Civil Servants to reciprocate the gesture of His Excellency by working hard with absolute dedication and commitment to their duties.
Special Adviser to the Governor on Civil Service Matters, Hon.Tade Adeyemi in his remarks, thanked the Governor for his commitment to the affairs of Civil Servants, urging workers to see this as an opportunity to double their efforts for rapid transformation of Kogi State.
The Permanent Secretary of the Commission, Mr Shaibu Fabian also expressed gratitude to the Governor on behalf of the Staff of the Commission, describing the Governor as the Chief Servant indeed.
He noted that the gesture goes beyond increment in the salaries, emphasizing that it was a sign of a renewed hope in the management of the State affairs.
Highlight of the event was special prayer for the Governor and his family, the cabinet and the state at large.
