The Commissioner of Police, Kogi State Command, CP Nasiru Bello Kankarfe today paid a courtesy visit to the Executive Chairman of the Kogi State Security Trust Fund (KGSSTF), Air Vice Marshal Omeiza Umar (rtd.) at the Fund’s office in Lokoja.
The visit was aimed at strengthening collaboration between the Nigeria Police Force and the Kogi State Security Trust Fund in the collective effort to enhance security across the state.

Speaking during the visit, the Commissioner of Police commended the Kogi State Government for establishing the Trust Fund and appreciated the consistent support provided to security agencies operating in the state.
He particularly acknowledged the efforts of the KGSSTF in providing logistics and operational support, which have significantly improved the capacity of security agencies to effectively combat crime.
CP Kankarfe emphasized the importance of synergy among security stakeholders, noting that sustainable peace and security can only be achieved through cooperation, intelligence sharing, and community participation.

In his response, the Executive Chairman, Kogi State Security Trust Fund, Air Vice Marshal Omeiza Umar (rtd.), welcomed the Commissioner of Police and reaffirmed the Trust Fund’s commitment to supporting security agencies in the state.
He noted that the KGSSTF was established to complement government efforts by mobilizing resources to equip security agencies with the necessary tools required to maintain law and order.
AVM Umar also assured the Commissioner of Police of the Trust Fund’s continued partnership with the Nigeria Police Force and other security agencies to ensure the safety of lives and property across Kogi State.
Both leaders reiterated their resolve to deepen cooperation and strengthen strategies aimed at sustaining peace and security for the benefit of all residents of the state.
