Kogi State Commissioner for Information and Communications, Hon. Kingsley Fanwo, alongside the Commissioner for Works, Hon. Mohammed Yusuf, has assured Kogites that all three senatorial districts will equally benefit from the laudable projects of the Ododo administration.
This assurance was given during the second-day media tour of ongoing projects in the eastern part of the state, where a new 10-kilometer road project, stretching from Bagana to Abejukolo, was unveiled.
Speaking at Abejukolo, the Commissioner for Works, Hon. Mohammed Yusuf, explained that the road construction was progressing steadily, with five kilometers on one side of the expressway already laid with asphalt. He further disclosed that the remaining portion will be completed after the rainy season by October 2025.
“We give glory to God Almighty and to His Excellency, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo, for showing love to the good people of Kogi State by creating avenues of accessibility to our communities. This will enable businesses and farmers alike to carry out their activities without hindrance,” Yusuf stated.
On his part, Hon. Kingsley Femi Fanwo emphasized the importance of such infrastructural projects to rural communities, describing them as part of the Ododo administration’s broader internal road reconstruction initiative.
“Yesterday, we were at Mopa to inspect the progress of work there, and today, we are in Abejukolo, Omala LGA, showcasing another project of this administration. It is not just about executing projects but ensuring equity and balance across all senatorial districts. That is the true essence of fairness in governance,” Fanwo said.
He reiterated that Governor Ododo’s administration remains committed to delivering life-changing projects across the state and appealed for focus to remain on government’s tangible achievements rather than political distractions.
Commending the Works Commissioner for his dedication, Hon. Fanwo thanked Governor Ododo for appointing capable hands to drive development, assuring that the current administration will sustain its giant strides without fail.
The Abejukolo road project, like many others across the state, reaffirms the vision of His Excellency, Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo, to ensure equitable development and improved livelihoods for all Kogites.
