The new Permanent Secretary, Kogi State Ministry of Information and Communications, Mr. Celestine Idoko, mni, has pledged to build on the achievements of his predecessor while upholding the highest standards of professionalism within the Ministry. While taking over on Thursday, in Lokoja, Mr. Idoko expressed gratitude to God and the state government for the opportunity to serve. He assured the Ministry's staff that his focus would be on strengthening existing structures rather than introducing new policies. Recognizing the technical nature of the ministry’s work, he emphasized his commitment to working closely with the Directors and technical officers to improve overall performance. Mr. Idoko commended Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo for his dedication to the welfare of workers and urged staff to demonstrate discipline, avoid truancy and lateness, and foster unity in delivering effective public service, particularly as promoters of government policies and programmes. Earlier in his welcome address, the Acting Permanent Secretary of the Ministry, Mr Eleojo Agada expressed gratitude to God, the Executive Governor of Kogi State, and the Honourable Commissioner for Information and Communication, Mr. Kingsley Fanwo, for their support during his tenure. He also appreciated the Directors and staff for their cooperation and commended the Technical Assistant to the Ministry, Mr. Adurodija Ebenezer for his guidannce, describing his time in the ministry as rewarding as a result of the experience and knowledge gained.
