The Commissioner of Women Affairs and Social Development, Hajia Fatimah Momoh, has promised to always support women, children, and people with disabilities (PWDs).
Hajia Fatimah Momoh stated this at the graduation and prize giving day celebration of Lokoja School of the Deaf & Special Needs, Zango in Adavi Local Government Area of the State.
The commissioner noted that she will continue to help improve lives, especially for women and children, even after she leaves office stating that the doors of the Ministry are always open to issues that bother the school.
The commissioner who was represented by the Director Rehabilitation, Mr Olumoko S. Adeniji called for concerted efforts of the school management in ensuring that the students are given good care irrespective of tribe, race, ethnicity, religion, or background and commended the proprietor for the initiative
She thanked the Disability friendly governor, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo, for his prompt attention to the plight of the children.
Earlier, the principal of the school, Mrs Anifowose Ayodele, called for the need to renovate the school as well as employ more teachers to take care of the children.
