The Kogi State Primary Health Care Development Agency (KSPHCDA) has convened a one-day planning meeting with LGA Health Educators and Local Government Chairmen in preparation for the upcoming Integrated Measles-Rubella Vaccine Introduction scheduled for October 2025, with support from UNICEF. The strategic meeting, held at AKK Hotel, Lokoja, brought together critical stakeholders to fine-tune strategies, strengthen coordination, and ensure effective community mobilization and widespread ahead of the campaign. Speaking at the session, the Honourable Commissioner for Health, Dr. Adams Abdullazeez Adeiza, commended the commitment of local government stakeholders, noting that their role is pivotal to achieving high coverage. He emphasized the government’s resolve to safeguard the health of every child in Kogi. Dr. Adeiza stressed the importance of collective responsibility in protecting children from vaccine-preventable diseases. He further reaffirmed the government’s commitment to child health and called on stakeholders to work together to achieve widespread coverage and protect every eligible child. "This campaign is not just about vaccines; it is about saving lives and securing the future of our children.
