The Kogi State Ministry of Health has received essential data tools from the Famkris Healthcare Initiative, a Non-State Actor (NSA) responsible for implementing the IsDB-Live and Livelihood Project in the state. These tools, which include printed service data and logistics data resources, are intended for distribution across public health facilities within the state.

Dr. Salamatu Yahaya, the Project Team Lead, highlighted the critical role these data tools play in the project’s success. She emphasized that the project is performance-based, making accurate data reporting a top priority.

Expressing gratitude to the NSA, the Honorable Commissioner for Health, Dr. Adams Abdulazeez Adeiza acknowledged the importance of the contribution. He reiterated the state’s commitment to ensuring the availability of data tools at health facilities, recognizing their significance in driving the state’s health sector revolution. Dr. Adeiza called for the judicious use of these tools to enhance the government’s developmental efforts in healthcare, emphasizing that all stakeholders are working collaboratively with state resources and partner support.

Dr. Ake Stephen Oluwarotimi, the program manager, revealed that monthly data validation meetings are being conducted across all 21 Local Government Areas (LGAs) to ensure the quality of data reporting. He noted that the data entry process is being closely monitored to guarantee that accurate information is provided by desk officers in the LGAs.
