Kogi State Ministry Education on Monday 25th of August 2025 joined other stakeholders in Education at the Unveiling and National Launch of the Teachers Portal and the TRCN strategic vision in Abuja by the Hon. Minister of Education Dr. Morufu Olatunji Alausa.
The Kogi State Commissioner for Education Honorable Wemi Jones FCIB was represented by the Acting Permanent Secretary Mrs. Omolayo Barikisu Onasare.
Representatives from various organizations including UBEC, NTI, NCCE, FCDO, British Council, UNICEF, Save the Children International, Nigerian Breweries, DEPOWA etc were in attendance.
The Minister urged all the states of the federation to support the initiative and collaborate with TRCN to ensure that teachers in the states benefit from the initiative.
The unveiling and launch of the Portal according to him would reposition the teaching profession in Nigeria as it would lead to smooth teachers registration, licensing and data management.
He said that the initiative was in line with global best practices and demonstrated the Federal Government’s unwavering commitment to elevating the teaching profession and empowering teachers as Nation Builders.
The event was coloured with the conferment of awards of excellence on four (4) outstanding TRCN State coordinators from Lagos, Delta, Bornu and Ogun States.
