Kogi HOS Charge Workers on Sustainable Progress; Unite in Prayer for Governor Ododo

Kogi State Head of Civil Service, Hajiya Falilat Yusuf Musa, Esq, on Wednesday, hosted a maiden inter-dimensional  prayer session since her assumption of office, bringing together Muslim and Christian faithful among civil servants at the State Secretariat to seek divine guidance, protection, and continued progress for Kogi State. The solemn gathering which provided a moment of spiritual reflection for civil servants from different faith backgrounds, assembled together to offer prayers for peace, stability, and prosperity of the State, as well as for leaders and the entire civil service workforce. During the session, special prayers were offered for His Excellency, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo, FCA, the Executive Governor of Kogi State, in recognition of his visionary leadership and unwavering commitment to the development of the State. The prayers were led by Imam Buseri Usman on behalf of the Muslim faithful and Pastor Daniel Onuchi for the Christian community, both of whom prayed fervently for God’s continued guidance, wisdom, protection, and strength for the Governor as he steers the affairs of the State. Similarly, heartfelt prayers were offered for the Head of Civil Service, Hajiya Falilat Yusuf Musa, Esq, as she assumes the mantle of leadership of the Kogi State Civil Service. In her remarks, the Head of Civil Service, Hajiya Falilat Yusuf Musa, Esq, emphasized the importance of prayer as a vital pillar for personal and institutional success, noting that committing the affairs of the State to God remains essential for sustainable progress and development.

She described the inter-dimensional prayer session as a voluntary initiative and expressed delight at the impressive turnout of civil servants, stating that the large participation demonstrated the workers’ willingness to engage in initiatives that promote unity and collectively project the State in a positive light.

Hajiya Musa further charged civil servants to remain dutiful, disciplined, and committed to their responsibilities, stressing that the progress of the State largely depends on the dedication, integrity, and positive attitude of the workforce. She urged them to continually uphold strong work ethics and engage positively in their duties in order to advance the efficiency and reputation of the Kogi State Civil Service.

In their exhortation and preaching, the Chaplain of the State Secretariat Chapel, Pastor Paul Funsho, and Imam Buseri Usman emphasized virtues that drive progress in both personal and public life. They charged civil servants to cultivate positive attitudinal change towards their responsibilities, uphold integrity, and remain committed to offering prayers for the advancement and prosperity of the State.

The clerics noted that discipline, dedication, honesty, and obedience to constituted authority remain essential traits for achieving sustainable development and meaningful transformation within the civil service.

The prayer session concluded with a closing prayer, bringing the spiritually uplifting gathering to a peaceful end while reaffirming the collective resolve of the workforce to contribute meaningfully to the continued progress and development of Kogi State.
