The Head of Service for Kogi State, Dr. Elijah Evinemi FCA, has emphasized the importance of fostering synergy among Civil Servants in the state.
Dr. Evinemi made this call during the Annual Inter-religious prayers held at the Kogi State Secretariat Conference Hall in Lokoja to mark the beginning of the new year. He highlighted the significance of unity and dedication among the Kogi workforce, transcending religious and cultural differences.
Acknowledging Governor Ododos’ unwavering support for the welfare of the people, Dr. Evinemi urged Civil Servants to redouble their efforts in striving for excellence in their duties in 2025. He encouraged them to reflect on Governor Ahmed Usman Ododos’ relentless commitment to staff welfare and emphasized the importance of supporting the Governor’s initiatives at all levels.
During a sermon delivered by Pastor Funsho Paul, the Chaplain of the Public Service Christian Fellowship, Secretariat Chapel, attendees were urged to leave the past behind and embrace new beginnings in 2025. The clergyman emphasized the importance of drawing closer to God through prayer, faith, obedience, and thanksgiving.
Representing the Muslim community, Mallam Usman Busari called for reconciliation among Civil Servants and stressed the need for peaceful co-existence within the system, regardless of religious beliefs.
The event included prayers and exhortations from both Muslim and Christian clergy members. This program, initiated by the Head of Service, aims to enhance productivity among the workforce in 2025.
