Dr. Evinemi noted that the 2025 Civil Service Week is not only a time for celebration but also an opportunity for introspection and renewed commitment to excellence, integrity, and professionalism.
“In a world powered by innovation, we must embrace the digital wave not as an option, but as a necessity,” he said.
He commended the transformative strides of the administration of His Excellency, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo, FCA, particularly in the area of digitization, e-governance, and staff welfare. According to the Head of Service, the civil service is undergoing a bold shift, with systems and records being modernized to lay the foundation for a responsive and future-ready workforce.
In his words, “The present administration, under the state’s Chief Servant, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo FCA, has reshaped governance and improved the standard of living of civil servants, a reality acknowledged even by national labour leaders.”
He appealed to workers to embrace continuous learning and capacity building, especially in the area of digital skills, to align with global best practices and the vision of the current administration.
“Let us ignite the spark. Let us drive digital transformation. Let us build a civil service that is not only celebrated during this week, but remembered in history as a force that shapes the future,” Dr. Evinemi charged.
The week-long celebration features lectures, medical outreaches, interdenominational prayers, and an award night to honour deserving public servants for their meritorious contributions to the growth of the Kogi State Civil Service.

Dr. Evinemi concluded by paying tribute to all civil servants, past and present, whose dedication and sacrifices have been instrumental in the development of Kogi State while adding that their dedication is the engine of governance, and your adaptability in this digital age is what will sustain our progress,” he added.
