By Abah Benjamin Eneojoh Lokoja, Kogi State In a historic move, the Kogi State Government has officially signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) for the establishment of a state-owned television station. The signing ceremony took place today, February 7, 2025, at the office of Secretary to the Government of Kogi State Lokoja, marking a significant milestone in the state's efforts to promote local content, culture, and development. According to the Secretary to the State Government of Kogi State, Pastor (Mrs.) Folashade Arike Ayoade, Ph.D, "The establishment of this television station is a testament to the state government's commitment to empowering its citizens and promoting socio-economic growth. This project will provide a platform for showcasing our rich cultural heritage, as well as serve as a tool for education, information, and entertainment." Pastor Ayoade further emphasized that "the state-owned television station will also serve as a means for the government to communicate its policies and programs to the citizens, thereby promoting transparency and accountability." The Kogi State Commissioner for Information and Communication, Hon. Kinsley Femi Fanwo thanked the Chief Servant of the State, His Excellency Alh Ahmed Usman Ododo for the approval of the Creation of the State's own Television Station promising that his Ministry would deliver on the project and the Station would be one of the best Television Stations in the Country.
