Dr. Abdulazeez made this statement during an official presentation of relief materials and medical supplies to the State Commandant of the Nigerian Correctional Services, aimed at enhancing the care provided to inmates in their custody
Represented by the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry, Mr. Momoh Steven, the Commissioner, reiterated the government’s dedication to achieving equitable healthcare delivery across all segments of Kogi State. He pledged full commitment to improving healthcare services and access throughout the state.
The Permanent Secretary commended the Correctional Services for prioritizing the health and hygiene of their inmates, encouraging them to continue their efforts in ensuring effective security and care for the community.
In his remarks, the State Commandant of the Nigerian Correctional Service, represented by Public Relations Officer Sesan Niyi, noted that this initiative marks a historic moment for the state, as the Correctional Services receive such significant support from the Kogi State Government in the area of healthcare for the first time. He expressed gratitude to the governor for fostering peaceful coexistence in the state and for appointing a capable commissioner, Dr. Abdulazeez Adams Adeiza, to lead the health sector.
