The Kogi State Coordinator for the Nigeria for Women Project Scale-Up, (NFWP-SU) Pst. Mrs. Esther Ameadaji, PhD, has called on every girl child across the state and Nigeria to embrace her uniqueness and take the front seat in leadership roles to spear head innovative ideas that will change the status quo.
According to her, This year’s theme, “The Girl I Am, the Change I Lead,” speaks to the core mission of the Nigeria for Women Project Scale-Up under her leadership.
In her message, Dr Ameadaji encourages every girl to embrace her unique strengths, step confidently into leadership roles, and drive impact within her environment. “You are not just future leaders, you are leaders today. Do not be afraid to take the front seat. Your voice, your ideas, and your courage are essential to shaping a better society,” she affirms.
The State Coordinator reaffirms that the day serves as a reminder that empowering the girl child benefits entire communities and nations. Through initiatives championed by the Women Project Scale-Up, girls gain access to education and mentorship that prepare them to confront challenges, shatter stereotypes, and become agents of positive change.
She reiterated that the Nigeria for Women Project Scale-Up is dedicated to empowering girls and women through skill development, education, and leadership training, aiming to break barriers that limit their potential. She said under the administration of Governor Usman Ododo, the project works to create sustainable opportunities that enable girls and women to actively participate in decision-making processes and lead innovative changes in their communities.
Pst. Mrs. Ameadaji calls on all stakeholders, from families to policymakers to support girls in realizing their full potential and in leading transformational change in every sphere of life.
