As the world marks International Women’s Day 2026, Kogi State celebrates the growing impact of grassroots women’s empowerment initiatives, with the Nigeria for Women Project – Scale Up (NFWP-SU) driving financial independence, community leadership, and sustainable development across the state through the pragmatic efforts of the State Project Cordinator, Nigeria for Women Project Scale-Up Project (NFWP-SU) Kogi State joined the global community today in celebrating International Women’s Day 2026, honoring the strength, resilience, and contributions of women in building families, communities, and the local economy. This year’s theme "Give to Gain" highlights the transformative role of the Nigeria for Women Project – Scale Up (NFWP-SU) in empowering women and uplifting their livelihoods across the state. Through the formation and strengthening of Women Affinity Groups (WAGs), financial literacy training, savings mobilization, livelihood support, and capacity-building programs, the NFWP-SU is enabling women at the grassroots level to achieve economic independence and play a more active role in community development.
