The Permanent Secretary of the Kogi State Ministry of Information and Communications, Mr. Ebenezer Adurodija, has called upon all staff members to prioritize punctuality, hard work, commitment, and innovation in their official duties.
Mr. Adurodija made this call during a family meeting with the staff of the Ministry and its parastatals, including Kogi Radio, The Graphic, and Kogi Printing Press, held today, January 8, 2025, in his office in Lokoja.
He commended His Excellency, Alhaji Usman Ododo, for his steadfast commitment to the welfare of civil servants across the state. “Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo has been exceptionally generous in ensuring that the welfare of civil servants is his top priority. Therefore, to whom much is given, much is expected. You are expected to demonstrate greater effort, dedication, and innovation,” Mr. Adurodija urged.
Continuing, he emphasized the importance of prioritizing staff welfare and encouraged everyone to remain motivated.
The Director of Administration, Mr. Abdul Yakubu, urged the staff to rise to their professional responsibilities and invest in their personal development to maintain their relevance and competence.
Mrs. Fatima Sanni, Director of PRS, expressed her gratitude to both the Permanent Secretary and the Hon. Commissioner of the Ministry for prioritizing staff welfare, viewing it as a crucial motivator. She encouraged her colleagues to deepen their commitment to their roles.
Alhaji Adamu Sheidu, Director of Information Services and Chairman of the Kogi State Chapter of the NUJ, encouraged the staff to enhance their professional skills in alignment with His Excellency’s vision and agenda for advancing the state.
The Managing Director of Graphic Newspapers, Mr. Y.J. Itopa, praised the Permanent Secretary for his inclusive leadership style, which ensures that everyone feels involved.
In her remarks, Hajia Nana-Hawa Yussuff, Director General of the Kogi State Broadcasting Corporation, urged staff members to work diligently to achieve the Ministry’s aims and objectives and stressed the importance of punctuality.
The meeting concluded with a mini-get-together to celebrate the beginning of the new year.
