Industrial Peace: Workers’ Welfare Tops Agenda as Kogi Labour Leadership Commends Governor Ododo

In a move aimed at strengthening industrial harmony and prioritizing the welfare of workers in Kogi State, the leadership of organised labour engaged with the Head of Civil Service, Hajiya Falilat Yusuf Musa, Esq, to discuss issues of mutual interest and reinforce collaboration between labour and the civil service leadership. The visit which took place on Tuesday at the office of the Head of Service, aimed at fostering stronger collaboration and discussing salient issues of common interest between the Office of the Head of Civil Service and organised labour for the overall welfare and progress of Kogi State workers. Speaking during the visit, the Chairman of the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC), Kogi State Chapter, Comrade Amari Gabriel, commended His Excellency, Alh. Ahmed Usman Ododo FCA, for the sustained industrial harmony the state has continued to enjoy since his assumption of office. Comrade Amari noted that Governor Ododo has demonstrated exceptional commitment to the welfare of workers, describing him as a worker-friendly Governor who remains proactive in addressing concerns of organised labour even before they escalate. He further explained that the visit was necessary to formally congratulate the Head of Civil Service on her appointment and to strengthen the cordial relationship between organised labour and the Office of the Head of Civil Service.
