Gov. ODODO to receive the Torch of Unity on Saturday in Lokoja

By James Sani Kogi State Governor, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo is to receive The Torch of Unity in Lokoja the State Capital on Saturday, 29th March, 2025. The Torch of Unity is a Unifier symbol Torch which heralds the eminence of the National Sports Festival Programme. A statement by the Director of Sports, Kogi State Sports Council, Mr Akowe Sule Adejoh explained that the Torch of Unity has been presented and flagged off by the Nigerian President, Bola Ahmed Tinubu on the 25th of this month, while the Torch of Unity is expected to travel across the thirty six states of the Federation. The Statement noted that the team of National Sports Commission officials parading the Torch will be joined by the staff of the Ministry of Youth and Sports, Sports Council and other sports lovers in the state. It urged all stakeholders to give the programme the anticipated attention through prompt attendance and active participation.
