Ahmed Usman Ododo of Kogi State has reiterated his unalloyed commitment to security, saying his administration will continue to enforce a zero-tolerance to the safety of lives and property in the state. The Governor stated this in a chat with a Vigilante Group, Professional Hunters, Tuesday, in Lokoja, hailing the Vigilante Group for their "unbending, untiring and unwavering commitment to the security of Kogi State". Governor Ododo thanked the Professional Hunters for putting their lives on the line to ensure the security of Kogi people, saying that state is already reaping the huge investment in security. He thanked the National Security Adviser, Mallam Nuhu Ribadu and all the heads of security agencies for their support since he assumed office, saying their unflinching support has helped in stabilizing the security of the State. The Governor thanked President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR for spotting a security czar like Mallam Nuhu Ribadu, saying the President's talent spotting acumen has never been in doubt. Earlier, the State Security Adviser, Commander Jerry Omodara (Rtd) commended the Governor for his avowed commitment to security, saying his efforts are already pushing criminals away from the state. Omodara thanked the Vigilante Group for their heroics, assuring the people that the State Government will continue to adopt "community-led security approach".
