By Abah Benjamin Eneojoh December 12, 2025 Kogi State Governor, Ahmed Usman Ododo, on Friday attended the official reception ceremony of Asiwaju Prince Olatunji Olusoji, who formally defected to the All Progressives Congress (APC) following his resignation from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP). The event took place at the Anglican Science Secondary School, Iyara, in Ijumu Local Government Area. In his address, Governor Ododo described Prince Olusoji as a leader of integrity, compassion, and unwavering service to humanity, commending his sustained support for widows, artisans, students, and local communities through various empowerment initiatives. Governor Ododo noted that Prince Olusoji’s decision to join the APC represents a strong endorsement of the State Government’s development-driven agenda. He also expressed appreciation to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for his visionary leadership, stressing that the ongoing national reforms are repositioning the country for sustainable growth. The governor further assured residents that more developmental projects would commence across Kogi State beginning in January 2026.
