Kogi State Governor, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo has urged the Bank of Industry in Kogi State to be upright in its dealings with the people.

He assured the Bank of the total support of his government to the success of the bank, noting that his administration will work hard to ensure the growth of the Bank.

The Governor called on the management of the bank to be just and fair with the people of the state and roll out programmes that will benefit Small and Medium scale Enterprise in the state.

Governor Ododo who assured of the provision of an office accommodation to enable the bank commence its activities, directed the allocation of a piece of land as the permanent site.

Governor Ododo explained that his administration has created the enabling environment that will promote business activities, including those of the banking sector, stressing that security of lives and property will continue to receive adequate attention.

“This government is disposed to promoting the economy and this is why this government will be at its best in encouraging investors of whatever form as a catalyst for growth and development, it is therefore a positive development that we now have a bank of Industry in Kogi State”, Governor Ododo stated.

Also Speaking, the Managing Director of the Bank, Mr Olasupkan Olusi, pledged the unalloyed support of the Bank to the present administration.

Mr Olusi, said as a pioneer Managing Director of the Bank, he will do everything possible to leave a mark on the sands of time.

The Managing Director commended the Governor for taking the bold step to ensure that the bank is functional in the state, describing it as first if its kind.

The Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Kogi Enterprises Development Agency, KEDA, Alhaji Muhammed Kadiri Okeji who spoke in an interview shortly after the inauguration of the bank, expressed joy that the bank of Industry has come to stay, assuring of necessary support by stakeholders in the industry.

Alhaji Muhammed Kadiri Okeji added that with the existence of the bank in the state, all will be well with both small, medium and large scale business owners across the state.
