In a bold move to transform Kogi State’s Civil Service into a more accountable and efficient institution that drives government programs and policies, the Kogi State Head of Civil Service, Dr. Elijah A. Evinemi, has unveiled a vision and mission statement to strengthen governance and enhance service delivery.
Speaking on the importance of setting clear objectives and goals, Dr. Evinemi emphasized that every successful organization operates with a well-defined roadmap. He further noted that the Civil Service, as the engine room of government operations, cannot function effectively without a guiding vision.
“An organization without a vision is like a driver without a map to its destination,” Dr. Evinemi stated. “To foster continuous improvement and enhance service delivery,ultimately boosting public trust, there must be a clear path aligned with global best practices.”

The newly established vision and mission statements aim to promote transparency, efficiency, and professionalism within the Civil Service, ensuring that public servants are well-equipped to meet the demands of modern governance.
This initiative marks a significant step in rebranding the Civil Service, reinforcing its role in achieving the policy objectives of Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo’s administration.
With these reforms, the Office of the Head of Service is setting a new standard for governance, ensuring that the Civil Service operates with clear direction, efficiency, and accountability for the benefit of all.
