In a poignant display of respect and solidarity, the Executive Governor of Kogi State, His Excellency Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo, attended the burial of the late Chief Patrick Adaba, former Deputy Governor of Kogi State, at Okene on Friday, May 2, 2025.
Governor Ododo, known for his unwavering commitment to the people of Kogi State, was visibly moved by the outpouring of tributes and condolences from various quarters. The Governor’s presence at the burial ceremony was a show of his deep connection with the people and his respect for those who have served the state with distinction.
The Governor extended his heartfelt condolences to the family of the late Chief Patrick Adaba, praying for the repose of his soul and comfort for the bereaved family. He described the late politician as a dedicated public servant who served the state with distinction.
In his words “We condole the family of our dear Father Chief Patrick Adaba, we pray to God Almighty to find a place for him in Al-jannat Firdous
.
Though we mourn his departure but what we are seeing here today is the celebration of Life. He has departed but his spirit is still alive with us and I urge all of us to emulate him”
I encourage the family to live in peace and don’t allow anybody to come in between you” he said
As the state mourns the loss of Chief Patrick Adaba, Governor Ododo’s condolence message serves as a beacon of hope and comfort to the family and loved ones of the deceased.
