Kogi State Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Barr Salami Momodu Ozigi Deedat has charged the Chairmen of the 21 Local Government Areas of the State on security and welfare of the people in their domains.
In a meeting with the Chairmen in Lokoja today, the Commissioner emphasized the need to prioritize security of lives and property of the people in line with one of the thematics of the administration of His Excellency, Alhaji Usman Ahmed Ododo, the Governor of Kogi State.
The Commissioner stated that adequate security is a key ingredient for economic development and communal peace.
He advised the Chairmen to put the people first in terms of welfare.
