The Coalition of Retired Permanent Secretaries has commended the Executive Governor of Kogi State, His Excellency Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo, for appointing one of their own, Alhaji Jimoh Muhammed Adinoyi, as the Chairman of the Kogi State Fiscal Responsibility Commission.
Pastor Kolawole, the Chairman of the forum, shared this news during a visit to Alhaji Muhammed’s office in Lokoja.
On behalf of the forum, Pastor Kolawole congratulated Alhaji Muhammed Jimoh on his new role, lauding Governor Ododo for recognizing the contributions of their forum. He expressed confidence in Alhaji Jimoh’s ability to excel in his position, highlighting his wealth of experience, wisdom, and intelligence. He described Alhaji Jimoh as a dedicated, honest, and hardworking individual.
In his remarks, Mr. Musa Yahaya, the Secretary of the forum, praised former Governor Alhaji Yahaya Bello for the trust he placed in them by appointing them as Permanent Secretaries. He emphasized that the forum had supported Governor Ododo during the elections and promised continued support under his leadership.
Mr. Musa also commended the governor for acknowledging one of their members in this significant appointment.
Mr. Musa assured His Excellency and the citizens of Kogi State that the commission would experience transformative development with the appointment of a capable individual.
He described Alhaji Muhammed as intelligent, diligent, and hardworking, expressing confidence that he would contribute meaningfully to the commission’s progress.
In response, the newly appointed Chairman of the Kogi State Fiscal Responsibility Commission, Alhaji Muhammed Jimoh, expressed his gratitude to the Almighty God for granting him good health and the opportunity to serve.
He thanked His Excellency, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo, for trusting him with such a critical position, emphasizing the importance of the commission’s responsibilities across various sectors of the State.
Alhaji Jimoh outlined the commission’s roles, which include promoting transparency, accountability and prudent management of the State’s resources.
He expressed his gratitude to the Honorable Commissioner for Finance, Budget, and Economic Planning, Hon. Asiwaju Asiru, for recommending his appointment and places trust in his abilities, highlighting their collaboration over the years in the civil service as his Permanent Secretary.
He also thanked the Accountant General of the state, Dr. Habibat Oyiza Tijani nee Onumoko, for her unwavering commitment and support for the reconstitution of the Commission, praising the government of His Excellency for its belief and commitment to transparency and accountability.
Alh. Jimoh Muhammed also assured them of his unwavering dedication to his official duties and promised to transform the Commission into a vibrant and efficient organization.
