The Nigeria for Women Project Scale-Up (NFWP-SU) has officially commenced in Kogi State, following endorsement by His Excellency, Alhaji Usman Ahmed Ododo, the Executive Governor of Kogi State. This Federal Government initiative is supported by the World Bank in collaboration with Kogi State Government, aims to transform women’s livelihoods by improving access to financial services, entrepreneurship skills, and strengthening social networks that promote economic empowerment and sustainable community development. In her remark, the State Project Coordinator, Dr. (Mrs.) Esther Ameadaji, on behalf of the State Project Coordinator’s Unit (SPCU), lauded His Excellency, Alhaji Usman Ahmed Ododo, the Executive Governor of Kogi State, for graciously approving the implementation of the Project across the three senatorial districts ; Okene Local Government Area (Kogi Central), Yagba East Local Government Area (Kogi West), and Dekina Local Government Area (Kogi East). Dr. Ameadaji commended His Excellency for his visionary leadership, steadfast commitment to women’s empowerment, and continuous support for inclusive economic initiatives. She emphasized that this approval reflects the Governor’s deep concern for the socioeconomic advancement of women and his resolve to foster sustainable development across all parts of the state.
