Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo has reaffirmed his commitment to tireless service and collective progress as Kogi State marks its 34th anniversary. In his anniversary message to the people of the state on Wednesday, Governor Ododo described the milestone as both a celebration and a moment of sober reflection on the journey so far. “It is a great honor and privilege to serve as the Chief Servant of our dear state at a time like this,” he said. “Just as on our birthdays as individuals, when we celebrate, we also look back to examine whether we are truly living up to our age.” The Governor recalled that since its creation in 1991, Kogi State has weathered challenges and recorded triumphs, forging an identity built on resilience, diversity, and boundless potential. According to him, the state is now experiencing massive transformation with ongoing road projects, remodeled schools, revitalized hospitals, and rural development initiatives. “We may not yet be where we desire to be, but we are certainly no longer where we used to be,” he said.
