Kogi State government restates determination to reducing maternal and child morbidity
Kogi State Government has restated its determination towards reducing Maternal and child Morbidity and mortality rates in the State.
The Hon commissioner for Health, Dr Saka Audu Haruna stated this when staff of Maternal and child survival program (MCSP) paid him a visit in his office.
Dr Saka thanked them for their training and support in the State and assured them of the Government's commitment to Possible Severe Bacteria Infection (PSBI).
The Commissioner also pointed out that about 21 LGAs in the State have so far benefitted from the Health care plus program.
In their separate remarks, Dr Olutunde and Dr Johnson of MCSP explained that infection is the major killer of the Newborn which can be reduced if the government will collaborate with them.
They equally promised to handover their Facilities and Registers to the state government before wrapping up the Maternal and child survival program by the end of this year.
