The Kogi State Government has assured the management and students of the College of Health Sciences and Technology Idah, of her determination to ensure the institution attains all necessary educational greatness in the Country.
The Hon. Commissioner for Health Dr. Saka Audu Haruna who was represented by the Acting Permanent Secretary, Mrs. Diana Rose Offor stated this in a message during the fourteenth matriculation ceremony of the College of Health Sciences and Technology in Idah.
The Acting Permanent Secretary at the event said that the present administration will remain committed to the development of the College.
She went further to advise the management and staff of the school to leave above board. She equally congratulated the matriculating students, while warning that vices of any kind will not be tolerated.
In their separate remarks, the Commissioner for Environment Mr. Victor Omofaiye and the Special Adviser to the Governor on Education, Science and Technology Dr. Gabriel Ottah said the quality leadership of Governor Yahaya Bello in the educational sector was quite impressive and called for the support of the people of the state.
The Provost of the College, Dr. Nuhu Solomon Anyegwu thanked the Governor for the special attention given to the school and assured the government of their commitment to duty.
The college was established by an edict in 1977 with an initial take-off of over one hundred and twenty Rural Health Assistants. The school was later moved to its permanent site in 1981.
