Governor Bello Eulogises Former President Obasanjo; Says He Is A Great Leader That Has Nigeria At Heart

Kogi State Governor, Alhaji Yahaya Bello has heaped praises on former President Olusegun Obasanjo , saying that he has distinguished himself in the chain of African
Leaders, Extolling his contributions to nation-building, and quest to work with God in the area of spiritual development of others.

The Governor described Chief Obasanjo as a leader who’s attributes and charisma is worthy of emulation by younger generations.

Governor Yahaya Bello made this known on Sunday at the Olusegun Obasanjo Presidential Library in Abeokuta
Ogun State.

Kogi State Deputy Governor, Chief (Dr.) Edward Onoja who Represented Governor Bello said ”as long as Nigeria’s history is concerned, the former President remains the longest serving Head of the Nigerian government for 12 years, and has seen it all from the war front to Prison and seat of power, with leadership experience within Africa and globally. God must have preserved him this long so the world should learn from his insights. He needs to keep counseling to help in making the world a better place,”

The Deputy Governor who at the occasion donated a Toyota Hiace Bus on behalf of his principal to the chapel at the presidential Library said it was in fulfilment of a pledge made by the Governor upon briefing him on his last visit to the chapel during its 10th harvest Thanksgiving in November last year.

Presenting the keys of an 18 seater Bus to the Chaplain, of Chapel of Christ The Glorious King in the Olusegun Obsanjo Presidential Library Rev. Dr. Femi Olajide, the Deputy Governor recalled how Governor Bello broke a 28-year jinx by building a befitting Kogi Government House Chapel for Christian worship.

The clergymen and congregation prayed for Governor Bello and Chief Onoja, asking God to strengthen their bond, engrace them to accomplish their desires, and open vistas of opportunities for them to grow in higher capacities.
