The Kogi State Government strongly condemns the recent attack on Alh. Muritala Yakubu Ajaka at the Supreme Court following the resolution of electoral disputes involving the Governors of Kogi, Imo, and Bayelsa States.
In a statement issued by the State Commissioner for Information and Communications, Hon. Kingsley Femi Fanwo, the government expressed deep concern over the barbaric and uncivilized behavior of the perpetrators, emphasizing the serious threat such actions pose to the integrity of the justice system.
The government calls on all Nigerians to refrain from taking matters into their own hands and to respect the rule of law.

KOGI STATE GOVERNMENT CONDEMNS UNNECESSARY ATTACK ON ALH. MURI AJAKA AT THE SUPREME COURT
1. Kogi State Government condemns, in the strongest of terms, the unwarranted attack on Alh. Muritala Yakubu Ajaka at the Supreme Court, moments after the determination of the electoral litigations involving the Governors of Kogi, Imo and Bayelsa States.
2. Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo of Kogi State has described the conduct of the hoodlums as barbaric, uncivilised and a grave danger to the institution of justice. He urged Nigerians from all walks of life to eschew resort to self-help.
3. As a Government, we implore law enforcement agencies to fish out the perpetrators and make them face the full wrath of the law to serve as a deterrent to others and protect the integrity and safety of our court environments across the country.
4. We urge all Nigerians to support the path of constitutionalism and unity, which are the core values of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration. We all must support his lofty policies and values for the progress and development of our dear nation.
