RESPONSIBILITIES

Kogi hotels and Tourism Board was established with an enabling edict to amongst other functions identify, preserve, develop, promote and market tourism in the state into domestic and international tourists

The functions of the board includes among others:

1. To encourage the provision and improvement of tourists amenities and facilities in the state including the development of hotels and ancillary activities
2. To encourage people living in the state to take their holidays therein and people from outside the state to visit it.
3. To identify, preserve and protect all tourism potentials in the state.
4. To promote leisure and culture heritage among the people of the state.
5. To promote and undertake domestic and international package tours.
6. To undertake tourism and hotel feasibility studies, investment and projects development.
7. To consult and co-operate with the appropriate federal, state, local Government and private organizations on ways of improving tourism, etc.
