Lokoja Local Government Area is endowed with abundant mineral and natural resources; some have been discovered but yet to be exploited. The Agbaja plateau is a potential mineral zone of all kinds. Similarily, the Local Government is playing host to the coveted Kogi State cement company now under construction at Obajana in Oworo districts, which is highly rich in mineral and cement deposits. Also the riverbank of Niger which cuts across (intersects) all the districts contain rich Kaolin and rich Clay, which could be, utilized for burnt bricks industries.

                   In addition, limestone, glass, tantalite, Tin Ore, Marble, Ceramic and many other are fund in the area awaiting industrial exploitation.
