Kogi State is highly heterogeneous and Its central location coupled with the diverse states and ethnic groups surrounding it. The Major ethnic groups in the state are: Igala, Ebira and Okun. Others include Egbura-Koto, Nupe, Bassa-Nge, Bassa -Komo, Kakanda and Ogoris.
