RESPONSIBILITIES

Engineering Department

Engineering Department of a Broadcasting Station is purely electronic set up dealing with the purchase and maintenance of transmitters and studio equipment.

Programme Department

This department deals with all the programmes on the Radio, such as Kogi this Week, Request, Phone-in Programmes, Children Programmes, Religious as well as Sponsored Programmes and others.

News & Current Affairs

This department is vested with the production of News and Current Affairs on the Radio such as news Bulletins, Commentaries, Summary, Sports and Documentaries.

Administration Department

As the name implies, coordinates all the functions of the other departments for smooth running of the Corporation. It is responsible for day to day running of the Radio. The department handles staff recruitment, promotion, discipline, maintenance and production and keeping of records.

Commercial Department

Commercial Department is the revenue generation unit of the Corporation. This is done through personal paid announcements, Sponsored programmes, Administration through advertisement agencies.

Financial & Accounts

This department is responsible for collection of all monies to the Corporation. It handles the collection of government Grants, Subvention, Aids, Staff Salaries and other charges. This department also handles the collection and disbursement of grant through the use of vouchers and receipts.
